Lynette's baby arrives...

My guess date arrives with nary a twinge in sight.  I did have a dr.
visit though.  My (fabulous) doctor was worrying about my delivering
a bigger baby than my first who weighed only 6.6lbs and got stuck,
so he really wanted to induce, I asked for a week and he agreed.
I didn't really want an induction, but I wanted a vaginal birth even
more, so I had 6 days to encourage this baby out.  I tried
visualization, spicy foods, walking - and asked for sex from DH, but
didn't get any :(  I even attempted to buy castor oil but began
gagging just taking the bottle off the shelf LOL! All to no avail...
6:30 Monday morning - up after about 3 hours of sleep with a portion
of my mucous plug and bloody show - Yea! I am ready!  I am already
having birthing waves every 3 minutes and I couldn't feel a one!

7:30am - Dr. breaks my water
8:30 - I asked the (fab)nurse to delay pitocin and she does!
9:30 - Pitocin on the lowest dose begins...so does hypnosis, I feel
great!
1:00 - Kicked the grandparents out as the waves began requiring my
concentration.
1:10 - Got up to go to the bathroom and stuff starting happening
1:15 - Start feeling a really strange pain, okay, time to step up
the hypnosis - Okay, why does my Birthing Day CD not work??!!!!
Quick grab another! Deepening - aaahhh...I am at 5cm
1:20 - I am at 8cm, but can still feel something crazy down there, I
have to start pushing!
 the dr. comes in---okay, the baby is descending (sunny side up)
behind my bladder!  Okay, this is the worst part of the whole deal -
the dr. needs to actually move my bladder out of the way and tells
me NOT TO PUSH (because he is pushing! my bladder behind the baby)
1:25 - my CD player gets knocked off the bed just as I am starting
to recenter myself!!!AAArGGHH!  I was almost there - and my baby was
almost here, then I hear those wonderful words - Let's push that
baby out!
1:30 Baby is stuck behind my pubic bone, bubble of peace
    Baby's heartbeat is weakening, I hear C-Section, bubble of peace
    I AM PUSHING THIS BABY OUT (I say to myself)
    Too late for a C-Section - Dr says let's get the baby out now!
Even though I am still at 8cm (The doctor helped me get to 10) :0

The pushing feels GLORIOUS!!!  With one well administered push, I
turn her and push her past my pubic bone!!! YEA!

One more push later, out she slithered!

Out she came...

I was receiving perineal support and only required a couple
stitches, I was half-heartedly offered an epidural, but whole-
heartedly declined YEA! HypnoDAD mostly held it together, but really
had to support himself!LOL

HYPNOBABIES WORKS and is the reason why the birthing went so easily
for me (even those last 30 minutes were tolerable)  I am sure that
if I didn't have the bladder issue, It would have been painless for
me!  Even with equipment failure Hypnobabies works!  I would do it
again in a minute (and just might!)
